Satellite Renal Dialysis Units

This project provides a new approach to the design of satellite renal dialysis units.  The design solution is a response to primary research conducted into the low level of quality of life, currently experienced by patients and staff in the UK.  The proposal is orientated around a sense of community that encourages people to interact with others diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease.  The facility has been designed with patient choice and well-being at the forefront, within an educational environment.  It will also provide a North East  base for the National Kidney Federation charity and house the North East Kidney Patients Association subdivision.
